Himalayan Everest Insurance Speeds Up Claim Payments for Properties Damaged During Gen Z Protests

Kathmandu — Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited has announced that it has begun compensating property owners whose assets were damaged during the Gen Z protests on Bhadra 23 and 24. So far, the company has disbursed Rs. 21.74 crore for 245 out of 287 insured claims, which include both advance and final payments.
According to Rose Raj Luitel, Head of Claims, the company is committed to ensuring quick, transparent, and hassle-free claim settlements within the regulatory framework.
The insurer stated that additional claim payments will resume from Tuesday, giving priority to financial relief for affected customers. Policyholders with pending claims are urged to contact their nearest branch or the central office to complete the required documentation.
Expressing condolences to those who lost their lives in the protests, the company also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
