होटल तथा पर्यटन समूह दबाबमा: ७ मध्ये ५ कम्पनी घाटामाHotel and Tourism Sector Under Pressure: 5 Out of 7 Companies in Loss
नेपाल स्टक एक्सचेन्ज (नेप्से) मा सूचीकृत होटल तथा पर्यटन समूहका कम्पनीहरूको चालु आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/८३ को दोस्रो त्रैमासिक वित्तीय विवरण अनुसार अधिकांश कम्पनीहरू नोक्सानीमा रहेका छन्। हाल यस समूहमा सूचीकृत ७ कम्पनीमध्ये ५ वटा कम्पनी घाटामा रहेका छन् भने केवल २ वटा कम्पनी मात्र नाफामा देखिएका छन्।
पुस मसान्तसम्मको तथ्यांकअनुसार सोल्टी होटल र कालिञ्चोक दर्शनबाहेक अन्य सबै कम्पनीहरूले नोक्सानी व्यहोरेका छन्। बन्दीपुर केबलकार, ओरियन्टल होटल, चन्द्रागिरि हिल्स, सिटी होटल र तारागाउँ रिजेन्सी घाटामा छन्। सोल्टी होटलले सबैभन्दा बढी ३४ करोड ७५ लाख रुपैयाँ खुद मुनाफा कमाएको छ, जुन गत वर्षको तुलनामा १५.१९ प्रतिशतले वृद्धि हो। त्यस्तै, कालिञ्चोक दर्शनले १ करोड १९ लाख रुपैयाँ नाफा कमाउँदै १५२.६८ प्रतिशतको उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि गरेको छ।
हालै आइपीओ निष्काशन गरेको बन्दीपुर केबलकार ७४ लाख ९१ हजार रुपैयाँ घाटामा रहेको छ। सिटी होटल १० करोड ९ लाख रुपैयाँ घाटामा सीमित रहेको छ भने जेनजी आन्दोलनको प्रभावबाट प्रभावित तारागाउँ रिजेन्सी होटल ९ करोड ७ लाख रुपैयाँ घाटामा रहेको छ। चन्द्रागिरि हिल्स ४ करोड ७० लाख र ओरियन्टल होटल्स २ करोड ७४ लाख रुपैयाँ घाटामा रहेका छन्।
आम्दानीको पक्षमा पनि सोल्टी होटल अग्रस्थानमा रहेको छ। कम्पनीले ६ महिनामा १ अर्ब ४५ करोड रुपैयाँ आम्दानी गरेको छ, जुन गत वर्षको तुलनामा १९.६९ प्रतिशतले बढी हो। बन्दीपुर केबलकार र कालिञ्चोक दर्शनले पनि आम्दानी वृद्धि गरेका छन्। तर तारागाउँ रिजेन्सीको आम्दानी ७५.२६ प्रतिशतले घटेर १७ करोड १९ लाख रुपैयाँमा सीमित भएको छ। चन्द्रागिरि, सिटी होटल र ओरियन्टल होटल्सको आम्दानीमा पनि गिरावट देखिएको छ।
समग्रमा होटल तथा पर्यटन क्षेत्रमा चुनौती कायमै रहेको देखिन्छ। पर्यटन पुनरुत्थानमा ढिलाइ, संरचनागत क्षति र बजारको कमजोर अवस्था कारण अधिकांश कम्पनीहरू दबाबमा छन्।
According to the second-quarter financial reports of the current fiscal year 2082/83, most hotel and tourism companies listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) are operating at a loss. Out of seven listed companies in this sector, five have recorded losses, while only two have remained profitable.
As of mid-January, only Soaltee Hotel and Kalinchok Darshan have managed to post profits. Other companies, including Bandipur Cable Car, Oriental Hotel, Chandragiri Hills, City Hotel, and Taragaon Regency, remain in deficit. Soaltee Hotel recorded the highest net profit of Rs 347.5 million, marking a 15.19 percent increase compared to last year. Kalinchok Darshan earned Rs 11.9 million in profit, reflecting a significant growth of 152.68 percent.
Recently listed Bandipur Cable Car reported a loss of Rs 7.49 million. City Hotel limited its loss to Rs 100.9 million, while Taragaon Regency, affected by the Gen Z movement, suffered a loss of Rs 90.7 million. Chandragiri Hills posted a loss of Rs 47 million, and Oriental Hotel recorded a loss of Rs 27.4 million.
In terms of revenue, Soaltee Hotel continues to lead the sector, earning Rs 1.45 billion in six months, up by 19.69 percent year-on-year. Bandipur Cable Car and Kalinchok Darshan also improved their revenues. However, Taragaon Regency’s income declined sharply by 75.26 percent to Rs 171.9 million. Chandragiri, City Hotel, and Oriental Hotel also experienced revenue declines.
Overall, the hotel and tourism sector remains under pressure. Delayed tourism recovery, infrastructure damage, and weak market conditions have negatively affected the performance of most companies.
