The Ministry of Finance has issued the Medium-Term Internal Revenue Operation Strategy, 2081, for the fiscal years 2081/82 to 2085/86. This strategy is designed to align with the 16th periodic plan to improve the country's tax system and administration.

Promote Economic Efficiency and Equity:
Encourage private sector investment.
Ensure a stable flow of tax and non-tax revenue.
Contribute to budget deficit management.
Tax Administration and Reforms:
Present a clear structural framework for tax policy and administration reforms.
Increase voluntary compliance of taxpayers with tax laws and operating systems.
Strengthen the risk management capacity of tax and customs administration.
Automate tax and customs administration.
Strategic Goals:
Increase in Revenue Operations: Enhance revenue operations from internal sources.
Coordination of Tax Revenue and GDP Ratio: Align the tax revenue-to-Gross Domestic Product (GDP) ratio with the revenue targets set by the 16th Five-Year Plan.
This strategy aims to balance the necessary revenue operations for the country's socio-economic development with the aspirations of the private sector and taxpayers. It is expected to strengthen the country's economic structure while maintaining stability in the government's funds.
