तेहरान — इरानले आफ्नो अधिकार र सार्वभौमिकता सुनिश्चित नभएसम्म अमेरिकासँग कुनै पनि सम्झौता स्वीकार नगर्ने स्पष्ट पारेको छ। अमेरिकाले पठाएको शान्ति प्रस्ताव फिर्ता गरेपछि इरानी वार्ता टोलीले तेहरान अमेरिकी सर्तमा सहमत नहुने बताएको हो।
संसद् सभामुख मोहम्मद बाघर गालिबाफले इरानी जनताको हित सुरक्षित नभएसम्म कुनै सम्झौता अनुमोदन नहुने बताए। अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्पले भने इरानले आणविक हतियार विकास रोक्नुपर्ने र हर्मुज जलसन्धि पुनः खुला गर्नुपर्ने सर्तसहित नयाँ प्रस्ताव पठाएका छन्। सहमति नभए कठोर विकल्प अपनाइने चेतावनी पनि उनले दिएका छन्।
इरानले रोक्का गरिएको करिब १२ अर्ब डलर सम्पत्ति फुकुवा गर्नुपर्ने र लेबनानको विषय पनि सम्झौतामा समेटिनुपर्ने माग राखेको छ। यसैबीच इजरायल–हेजबुल्लाह तनाव र इरानले अमेरिकी ड्रोन खसालेको दाबीले मध्यपूर्वको सुरक्षा अवस्था झनै जटिल बनेको छ।
Tehran — Iran has made clear it will not accept any agreement with the United States until its rights and sovereignty are guaranteed. The statement came after Iran's negotiating team returned a US peace proposal, saying Tehran would not agree to American terms.
Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said no deal would be ratified until the interests of the Iranian people are secured. US President Donald Trump, meanwhile, has sent a new proposal demanding that Iran halt its nuclear weapons development and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. He also warned that harsher alternatives would be pursued if no agreement is reached.
Iran is demanding the release of roughly $12 billion in frozen assets and insists the situation in Lebanon must be included in any potential deal. Amid this, rising Israel–Hezbollah tensions and Iran's claim that it downed a US drone have made the security situation in the Middle East even more complex.
