Kathmandu, June 15 — At a time when interest in Nepal's share market is growing steadily across all segments of society, Kalash Stock Market (Broker No. 74) did something that most brokerages do not — it opened its doors to the public, free of charge, and spent ten consecutive evenings teaching people how the market actually works.
The company's online share market training program, covering both fundamental and technical analysis, concluded recently after running from Jestha 22 to 31 — June 5 to 14, 2026 — each evening from eight to nine-thirty through the Zoom platform. The response exceeded expectations. More than a thousand participants registered and attended each day, joining from across Nepal and from abroad.
The training was led by Deep Thapa, a former member of the technical team at Merolagani.com, one of Nepal's most recognized financial data platforms. Over the ten days, Thapa covered the fundamentals of equity analysis — how to read a company's financial statements, evaluate its business model, and assess its long-term value — alongside the technical side of the market, including chart patterns, trend analysis, and price behavior. The presentation was designed to be practical and accessible rather than academic, aimed at giving participants tools they could actually use.
What made the program notable was the range of people it reached. Beginners who had never bought a single share sat in the same virtual room as experienced investors who have been navigating Nepal's market for years. Both found something of value. The training was structured to serve that breadth — starting from the ground up without losing the attention of those who already knew the basics.
The program was facilitated by the company's Chief Executive Officer, Shalikram Adhikari.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Kalash Stock Market Chairman Pradip K.C. summed up the philosophy behind the initiative plainly. "Customer satisfaction and providing the right guidance to our clients is our most important asset," he said. He committed to continuing programs of this kind, describing investor education and financial literacy as priorities the company intends to pursue consistently, not as a one-time event.
Kalash Stock Market has been operating in Nepal's securities market for three years. The company runs its head office in Buddhanagar, Kathmandu, and a branch office in Butwal. Demat accounts and TMS trading accounts can be opened both online and in person at either location. The company has placed an emphasis on technology-friendly service, reflecting the shift in how a younger generation of Nepali investors prefers to engage with the market.
