कर्णाली डेभलपमेन्ट बैंकले बचतकर्ताको बचत फिर्ता गर्ने तयारीKarnali Development Bank to Refund Depositors' Savings
नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले समस्याग्रस्त घोषणा गरेको कर्णाली डेभलपमेन्ट बैंकले मंगलबारदेखि बचतकर्ताको रकम फिर्ता गर्ने भएको छ। बैंकमा निक्षेप सुरक्षित रहेको भन्दै बचतकर्ताको आवश्यकताका आधारमा भुक्तानी सुरु गरिने नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले जनाएको छ ।
बैंकले पहिलो चरणमा बचत खाताका ग्राहकलाई रकम फिर्ता गर्नेछ भने मुद्दती खाताका बचतकर्तालाई अन्तिम चरणमा भुक्तानी गरिने तयारी छ। कर्णाली डेभलपमेन्ट बैंकका विभिन्न शाखाहरूमा करिब ५० हजार ग्राहकको ५।५ अर्ब रुपैयाँ बचत र ३ अर्ब रुपैयाँ कर्जा रहेको पाइएको छ।
यसैबीच, नेपाल स्टक एक्सचेञ्ज नेप्सेले बैंकको सेयर कारोबार अनिश्चितकालका लागि रोक्का गरेको छ। नेप्सेले राष्ट्र बैंकको टेक ओभर पश्चात लगानीकर्ताको हित सुनिश्चित गर्न यस्तो कदम चालेको बताएको छ। तर, सेयर लगानीकर्ताहरूले यो निर्णयलाई अधिकार विपरित भन्दै अदालत जाने तयारी गरेका छन्।
Karnali Development Bank, declared troubled by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), is set to start refunding depositors' savings from Tuesday.
In the first phase, the bank will return funds to savings account holders, while fixed deposit holders will receive their payments in the final phase. The bank, which operates branches in Banke, Bardiya, and Dang, has approximately 50,000 depositors with savings totaling NPR 5.5 billion and loans worth NPR 3 billion.
Meanwhile, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has indefinitely suspended trading of the bank's shares, citing the NRB's takeover and the need to protect investors' interests. However, some shareholders have expressed dissatisfaction, claiming the decision infringes on their rights, and are reportedly preparing to take legal action.
