Last Day to Secure Dividends for CEBD Hydropower and Oriental Hotels

Today, September 22nd, marks the final day to secure dividends for CEBD Hydropower Development Company and Oriental Hotels. Both companies will be closing their books tomorrow, September 23rd, for the purpose of holding their annual general meetings (AGMs).

Last Day to Secure Dividends: September 22nd
Book Closure Date: September 23rd
AGM Dates:

• CEBD Hydropower: October 7th, 10:00 AM at Kalimati Banquet, Kathmandu

• Oriental Hotels: October 6th, 11:00 AM at Nepal Administrative Staff College, Jawalakhel, Lalitpur

CEBD Hydropower:

• Dividend: 11% bonus shares (excluding tax) from profits of the last two fiscal years on the current paid-up capital

• After Bonus Share Distribution: Issuance of a 54.5% rights offering

• AGM Objective: To approve the proposal for distributing bonus shares and issuing rights shares

Oriental Hotels:

• Dividend: 5% bonus shares and 0.2631% cash dividend for tax purposes

• AGM Objective: To approve the proposal for distributing bonus shares and cash dividends

The purpose of the dividend distribution is to allocate a portion of the company's profits to its shareholders. After the proposals are approved at the AGMs, shareholders will receive the bonus shares and cash dividends. CEBD Hydropower plans to distribute 11% bonus shares on its paid-up capital and will subsequently issue additional rights shares. Oriental Hotels has also proposed distributing bonus shares along with a cash dividend.
