LIC Nepal and Companies Contribute Over Rs 17 Million to Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund

The Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund has received a contribution of Rs 10.1 million from Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) Nepal on Sunday. LIC Nepal’s CEO, Pranaya Kumar, handed over the voucher to Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal.

The government established the Fund to rebuild physical structures damaged during the arson and vandalism incidents that occurred on September 8 and 9 during the Gen-Z protests.

Additionally, employees of F1 Soft International, eSewa, and Fonepay Payment Service Limited collectively contributed Rs 7.5 million to the Fund. Siddhantha Thakuri, Chairman of the F1 Soft Group, handed over the bank cheque to Minister Khanal on November 19.

According to Finance Ministry spokesperson Tanka Prasad Pandey, the Fund has accumulated a total of Rs 93 million as of Sunday. A dedicated bank account (1960100102070004) has been opened at Rastriya Banijya Bank, Singha Durbar branch, for managing the reconstruction fund.

The government has called on provincial and local governments, the private sector, Nepali and foreign citizens, the Non-Resident Nepali community, friendly nations, development partners, and international organizations to support this national campaign aimed at reconstruction, economic recovery, and relief efforts.
