नेपाल वैदेशिक रोजगार व्यवसायी संघले आफ्ना मागप्रति सरकारले चासो नदेखाएको भन्दै सोमबारदेखि देशभरका म्यानपावर कम्पनी बन्द गर्ने निर्णय गरेको छ। संघका अनुसार श्रमिक छनोटदेखि भिसा, श्रम स्वीकृति र विदेश पठाउनेसम्मका सबै प्रक्रिया रोकिएका छन्।
व्यवसायीहरूले यसअघि पूर्वअन्तिम श्रम स्वीकृति, नयाँ रोजगारीका विज्ञापन र भिसा स्ट्याम्पिङलगायतका काम रोक्दै चरणबद्ध आन्दोलन गर्दै आएका थिए। माग सम्बोधनका लागि ठोस पहल नभएपछि पूर्ण रूपमा सेवा बन्द गर्ने अवस्थामा पुगेको संघको भनाइ छ।
म्यानपावर कम्पनी बन्द हुँदा वैदेशिक रोजगारीमा जाने तयारीमा रहेका हजारौँ श्रमिक प्रभावित हुन सक्ने देखिएको छ। विशेषगरी भिसा, श्रम स्वीकृति र उडानको अन्तिम तयारीमा रहेका श्रमिकको यात्रा अनिश्चित बन्न सक्नेछ।
संघले माग सम्बोधन नभएसम्म आन्दोलन जारी राख्ने जनाएको छ। लामो समयसम्म सेवा अवरुद्ध भए वैदेशिक रोजगार क्षेत्र, श्रमिक तथा रेमिट्यान्स प्रवाहमा समेत असर पर्न सक्ने देखिएको छ।
The Nepal Association of Foreign Employment Agencies has announced the closure of manpower companies across the country from Monday, accusing the government of failing to seriously address its demands. With the decision, services ranging from worker selection and documentation to visa processing, labour approval and deployment have been suspended.
The association had already been carrying out a phased protest by halting pre-final labour approvals, publication of new job advertisements and visa stamping. It said the move to completely suspend operations came after the government failed to take concrete steps to resolve the dispute.
The shutdown is expected to affect thousands of Nepali workers preparing to leave for foreign employment. Those in the final stages of obtaining visas, labour permits and arranging flights could face delays and uncertainty.
The association has indicated that the protest will continue until its demands are addressed. A prolonged shutdown could affect not only workers and recruitment agencies but also the wider foreign employment sector and remittance-dependent economy.
