राष्ट्रिय प्रसारण ग्रीड कम्पनी लिमिटेड र पाँचवटा प्रमुख जलविद्युत प्रवद्र्धक कम्पनीहरूबीच ग्रीड कनेक्शनसम्बन्धी महत्वपूर्ण सम्झौतामा हस्ताक्षर सम्पन्न भएको छ। ऊर्जा, जलस्रोत तथा सिंचाई मन्त्री दीपक खड्काको प्रमुख आतिथ्यमा मंगलबार नयाँ बानेश्वरमा आयोजित एक विशेष समारोहका बीच यो सम्झौता सम्पन्न भएको हो।
सम्झौतामा ग्रीड कम्पनीका प्रमुख कार्यकारी अधिकृत इन्जिनियर सागर श्रेष्ठ र पाँच जलविद्युत प्रवद्र्धक कम्पनीका प्रतिनिधिहरूले हस्ताक्षर गरेका छन्। ती कम्पनीहरूमा एस. सी. पावर कम्पनी प्रा.लि., सुर्मा सरोबर हाइड्रोपावर प्रा.लि., माता मालिका इनर्जी मल्टिपल प्रा.लि., सूर्य होल्डिङ्ग प्रा.लि., र श्री हिमजल हाइड्रोपावर प्रा.लि. रहेका छन्।
सम्झौताअनुसार, तिला–१ (४४० मेगावाट, कालिकोट), महाकाली सेती (५४ मेगावाट, बझाङ), मालुमेला सेतीनदी पिकिङ (७२ मेगावाट, बझाङ), अपर मेवा खोला ए (३१.९२ मेगावाट, ताप्लेजुङ), र सुपर दरौदी (९.१४३ मेगावाट, गोरखा) आयोजना विकास गर्ने कम्पनीहरूले आफ्नो उत्पादन राष्ट्रिय ग्रिडमा समावेश गर्नेछन्।
समारोहमा मन्त्री खड्काले ऊर्जा क्षेत्रको विकासका लागि निजी क्षेत्रको लगानी र सहकार्य अपरिहार्य रहेको भन्दै यस्ता सम्झौताले भविष्यमा विद्युत् निर्यात र ऊर्जा सुरक्षाका दृष्टिले नयाँ आयाम थप्ने बताए। उनले भने, "ऊर्जा केवल घरको बत्ती बाल्ने माध्यम होइन, समृद्ध राष्ट्र निर्माणको मेरुदण्ड हो।"
कार्यक्रममा ऊर्जा सचिव सुरेश आचार्य, विद्युत् नियमन आयोगका अध्यक्ष डा. रामप्रसाद धिताल, र इप्सान महासचिव इमान सिंह गुरुङ लगायतले शुभकामना मन्तव्य दिएका थिए।
सम्झौताअनुसार समयमै ट्रान्समिशन लाइन निर्माण तथा अपग्रेडेशन गरिने र जलविद्युत् उत्पादनको व्यवस्थापन सहज हुने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ। यसले राष्ट्रिय ऊर्जा प्रणालीमा स्थायित्व र आत्मनिर्भरता बढाउने विश्वास व्यक्त गरिएको छ।
The National Transmission Grid Company Limited has signed a significant grid connection agreement with five major hydropower development companies. The agreement was formalized during a special ceremony held on Tuesday in the presence of Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, Deepak Khadka.
The agreement was signed by Engineer Sagar Shrestha, CEO of the National Grid Company, along with representatives from the participating hydropower companies: S.C. Power Company Pvt. Ltd., Surma Sarobar Hydropower Pvt. Ltd., Mata Malika Energy Multiple Pvt. Ltd., Surya Holding Pvt. Ltd., and Shree Himajal Hydropower Pvt. Ltd.
As per the agreement, the hydropower projects—Tila-1 (440 MW, Kalikot), Mahakali Seti (54 MW, Bajhang), Malumela Seti River Peaking Project (72 MW, Bajhang), Upper Mewa Khola A (31.92 MW, Taplejung), and Super Daraudi (9.143 MW, Gorkha)—will be connected to Nepal’s national grid.
In his remarks, Minister Khadka emphasized the vital role of the private sector in the development of the energy sector. "Energy is not just about lighting homes—it is the backbone of national economic and social development," he stated. He also acknowledged the delays and lack of timely implementation as key obstacles to Nepal's energy progress and stressed the need for strong collaboration between the government and private sector moving forward.
Also speaking at the event were Energy Secretary Suresh Acharya, Electricity Regulatory Commission Chairperson Dr. Ram Prasad Dhital, and IPPAN General Secretary Iman Singh Gurung, among other dignitaries.
Under the agreement, both the National Grid Company and the developers have committed to integrating their power output into the national grid and upgrading transmission infrastructure in a timely manner. The deal is expected to contribute significantly to Nepal’s energy stability and long-term development.
