नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले नेपाल पे टाइम प्रा.लि. को भुक्तानी सेवा प्रदायक (PSP) अनुमतिपत्र नवीकरण नगर्ने निर्णय गरेको छ। २०७६ सालमा अनुमति प्राप्त यस कम्पनीको सेवा हाल बन्द रहेको तथा यसको डिजिटल वालेट गूगल प्ले स्टोर र एप्प स्टोरमा उपलब्ध नरहेको राष्ट्र बैंकले जनाएको छ। साथै, संस्थागत सुशासनमा कमजोरी देखिएको र राष्ट्र बैंकका निर्देशनहरूको अवज्ञा गरिएको पाइएको कारण अनुमतिपत्र नवीकरण नगरिएको स्पष्ट गरिएको छ।
राष्ट्र बैंकले नेपाल पे टाइमसँग कुनै वित्तीय लेनदेन बाँकी रहेका ग्राहकहरूलाई ३० दिनभित्र सम्पर्क गर्न आग्रह गरेको छ। यस अवधिमा ग्राहकहरूले आफ्नो बाँकी रकम फिर्ता लिन वा अन्य आवश्यक प्रक्रिया पूरा गर्नुपर्नेछ। यो निर्णयले नेपालमा डिजिटल भुक्तानी सेवा प्रदायकहरूको नियमन थप कडा हुँदै गएको संकेत गर्छ।
Nepal Rastra Bank has decided not to renew the Payment Service Provider (PSP) license of Nepal Pay Time Pvt. Ltd. The company, which obtained its license in 2019, has currently ceased its services, and its digital wallet is no longer available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store, according to the central bank. Additionally, the bank stated that the company has shown weaknesses in corporate governance and failed to comply with regulatory directives, leading to the decision not to renew its license.
Nepal Rastra Bank has also urged customers with any pending financial transactions with Nepal Pay Time to contact the company within 30 days. During this period, customers are advised to claim any outstanding balances or complete necessary procedures. This decision highlights the tightening regulations on digital payment service providers in Nepal.
