Nepal Rastra Bank Invites Tender for Printing New Rs. 500 Banknotes

Nepal Rastra Bank has invited an international tender for printing new Rs. 500 banknotes. According to the bank's official notice, preparations are underway to print 230 million new banknotes. Interested suppliers can submit sealed confidential tenders by May 3. A registration fee of Rs. 20,000 or 144 US dollars, 133 euros, or 112 pounds sterling has been set for tender submission.
The central bank has already shortlisted six foreign companies through the prequalification process. These companies are from China, the United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, France, and Poland. The shortlisted companies can now submit their bids, and the contract will be awarded to the company offering the lowest cost proposal.
