Nepal Rastra Bank to Print 300 Million New 100 Rupee Notes

Nepal Rastra Bank is set to print 300 million new 100 rupee notes. On Sunday, the bank issued a notice calling for international tenders for the design, printing, and transportation of these notes.
According to the notice, companies and firms that were initially selected in the preliminary selection process are invited to reapply. This opportunity is extended to those who participated in the tender issued on October 29, 2021.
Eligible applicants must submit two separate sealed bids in a single-stage process. According to the central bank's printing department, selected applicants must submit their applications by 12 PM on September 4, 2024. The selected and tender-winning company must complete the printing and transportation of the notes within a maximum of 120 days of approval. Applicants are required to provide a security deposit of 27.5 million rupees.
