The central bank of Nepal, Nepal Rastra Bank, has made final preparations to release the half-yearly review of its monetary policy. According to sources, the review is likely to be published either today (Tuesday) or by tomorrow (Wednesday). Due to the election code of conduct, major policy changes are unlikely. The meeting of the management and board was delayed as Deputy Governor Dr. Neelam Dhungana is scheduled to return from an overseas visit today. Once she arrives, the meeting will be held to approve the review, and if not possible, it will be made public by Wednesday. As per legal provisions, the central bank must publish the review within 45 days after the completion of six months of the fiscal year. Last year, the half-yearly review was released on Falgun 13.
