सरकारी बिदा फिर्ता भए पनि सेयर बजार आज नखुल्नेNepal Stock Market Remains Closed Today Despite Holiday Withdrawal
काठमाडौं । सोमबारका लागि गृह मन्त्रालयले सार्वजनिक बिदा फिर्ता लिए पनि आज नेपाल स्टक एक्सचेञ्ज (नेप्से) मा सेयर कारोबार नहुने भएको छ।
नेप्सेका प्रवक्ता मुराहरि पराजुलीका अनुसार, बिदा घोषणा भएपछि अधिकांश कर्मचारी कार्यालय बाहिर भएकाले बजार सञ्चालन गर्न सम्भव नभएको हो।
“बिदा भन्ने भएपछि सबै कर्मचारी बाहिर छन्। कार्यालय खुले पनि आज बजार खुला हुन सकेन,” उनले बताए।
दसैँ बिदाका कारण नेप्से परिसूचक गत सोमबारदेखि बन्द रहेको थियो। बिदा सकिएसँगै आइतबारदेखि बजार खुल्ने भनिए पनि अविरल वर्षा र यातायात अवरुद्धका कारण सरकारले आइतबार र सोमबारका लागि सार्वजनिक बिदा दिएको थियो।
तर सोमबार बिहानैदेखि मौसम सामान्य भएपछि गृह मन्त्रालयले काठमाडौंसहितका जिल्लाका प्रशासन कार्यालयहरूलाई कार्यालय सञ्चालन गर्न निर्देशन दिएको थियो। त्यसअनुसार प्रशासन कार्यालयहरूले कार्यालय खुल्ने सूचना जारी गरेका छन्।
यद्यपि, नेप्सेले भने बजार सञ्चालनका लागि प्राविधिक तयारी नपुगेकाले आज कारोबार नखुल्ने जनाएको छ।
अब नेप्से भोलिदेखि (मंगलबार) नियमित रूपमा खुल्ने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ।
Kathmandu — Although the Ministry of Home Affairs has withdrawn the public holiday announced for Monday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) will remain closed today.
According to NEPSE spokesperson Murahari Parajuli, most employees had already left after the holiday announcement, making it impossible to operate the market today.
“Since it was declared a holiday, all employees are out of the office. Even though the office has technically opened, trading could not resume today,” Parajuli said.
The stock market had remained closed since last Monday due to the Dashain festival holidays. Trading was expected to resume on Sunday; however, continuous rainfall and disruptions in highways and air routes led the government to declare public holidays on Sunday and Monday.
After the weather cleared, the Ministry of Home Affairs instructed district administration offices, including those in Kathmandu, to reopen on Monday, and the respective offices issued public notices accordingly.
Despite this, NEPSE officials said that due to technical and operational constraints, the stock market could not reopen today.
Trading is now expected to resume normally from Tuesday.
