NEPSE Closes Higher on Week’s Final Day, Hydropower Sub-Index Registers Largest Gain

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index closed higher on the last trading day of the week. After declining on Wednesday, NEPSE rose by 14.21 points on Thursday to reach 2,950.16 points. The Sensitive Index increased by 1.98 points, the Float Index by 1.03 points, and the Sensitive Float Index by 0.72 points.Despite the index rise, trading volume slightly decreased. A total of 343 stocks were traded 142,734 times, amounting to NPR 1.316 billion for 3,438,000 shares. Shares of Reliance Spinning Mills, Super Khudi Hydropower, Hotel Forest Inn, Solu Hydropower, and Bhujung Hydropower traded at the positive circuit limit.Shares of National Hydropower and Ridi Power Company increased by over 6%, while Shubham Power shares rose by nearly 6%. Panchakanya Mai Hydropower shares fell the most, dropping 7.48%. Based on trading volume, NRN Infrastructure & Development led the market with shares worth NPR 942.9 million traded. SY Panel Nepal saw around NPR 720 million in trades, while National Hydropower exceeded NPR 460 million.
