NEPSE Index Stabilizes, Trading Volume Increases

On Wednesday, the NEPSE index remained almost stable. After a decline over the past three trading days, the index stabilized on this day. The NEPSE index closed at 2662.09 points, down by 0.04 points. On the other hand, the Sensitive Index increased by 0.81 points, while the Float Index rose by 0.07 points, and the Sensitive Float Index increased by 0.18 points.
While the NEPSE index remained stable, the trading volume saw a slight increase. On the previous trading day, Tuesday, a total of NPR 8.61 billion worth of shares were traded. On Wednesday, however, 329 stocks traded 8.69 billion 22 million 50 thousand rupees worth of 22,282,000 shares in 82,450 transactions.
Ridi Power's stock price increased the most by 9.67%. Similarly, Singti Hydro Energy’s stock price rose by more than 8%, and Ankhukhola Hydroelectric Company saw its stock price increase by more than 7%. Conversely, the stock price of Sumir Mai Hydropower decreased by the highest margin of 6.39%.
In terms of trading value, Ridi Hydro Power topped the list with NPR 654.7 million worth of shares traded. Ankhukhola Hydroelectric Company followed with over NPR 620 million in trades, while Singti Hydro Energy saw shares worth over NPR 580 million being traded.
Out of 13 sub-indices, 5 saw an increase, while 8 decreased. The sub-indices for Banking, Development Banks, Hydropower, Investment, and Non-Life Insurance saw modest increases, while the remaining sub-indices saw a slight decline.
