NEPSE Rebounds After Two-Day Decline, Turnover Also Increases

After two consecutive days of decline, the stock market rebounded on Monday. On the second trading day of the week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 28.73 points to close at 2,639.37. Along with the benchmark index, the Sensitive, Float, and Sensitive Float indices also posted gains. Market turnover increased significantly, with total transactions rising to over NPR 6.47 billion from NPR 5.01 billion in the previous session, involving more than 84,000 trades across 335 stocks. Six companies hit the positive circuit during the day, while most other stocks also recorded notable gains. In terms of turnover, Shivam Cements led the market, and all 13 sectoral indices closed higher, with Manufacturing & Processing, Development Banks, and Hotels & Tourism emerging as top performers.
