NEPSE Rises for Third Straight Trading Day, Turnover Crosses NPR 4 Billion

The stock market extended its upward momentum for the third consecutive trading day on Wednesday. The benchmark index gained 5.70 points to close at 2,625.70, while the Sensitive, Float, and Sensitive Float indices also ended higher. Along with the index, total turnover improved significantly, reaching over NPR 4.05 billion from transactions of 332 listed companies. Shares of Swastik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha and SY Panel Nepal hit the positive circuit during the session. Meanwhile, Narayani Development Bank and Chirakhwa Hydropower posted notable gains, whereas Barahi Hydropower Public recorded the highest decline. In terms of turnover, Union Hydropower led the market, followed by active trading in Manjushree Finance and Ngadi Group Power. Out of the 13 sectoral indices, 10 closed higher, with the finance sector posting the strongest gain.
