महासंघमा नयाँ नेतृत्व चयन, उपाध्यक्षदेखि सदस्यसम्मको पूर्ण नतिजा सार्वजनिकNew FNCCI Executive Committee Elected, Full Election Results of Vice Presidents and Members Announced
नेपाल उद्योग वाणिज्य महासंघ (एफएनसीसीआई) को नयाँ कार्यसमिति चयन भएको छ । वैशाख २२ गते सम्पन्न निर्वाचनको सम्पूर्ण मतपरिणाम बुधबार सार्वजनिक भएसँगै महासंघले नयाँ नेतृत्व पाएको हो । महासंघ विधानअनुसार वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष रहेका अञ्जन श्रेष्ठ स्वतः अध्यक्ष बनेका छन् । यससँगै निजी क्षेत्रको सबैभन्दा ठूलो छाता संगठनमा नयाँ शक्ति समीकरण स्थापित भएको छ ।
मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकृत लीलामणि पौडेलका अनुसार ७३ पदका लागि १३७ जना उम्मेदवार चुनावी प्रतिस्पर्धामा उत्रिएका थिए । जिल्ला–नगर, वस्तुगत तथा एशोसिएट समूहमा तीव्र प्रतिस्पर्धा देखिएको निर्वाचनले महासंघभित्रको आन्तरिक राजनीतिक ध्रुवीकरणलाई समेत स्पष्ट पारेको छ । केही पदमा मत बराबरी भएपछि आधा–आधा कार्यकाल बाँडफाँट गर्ने सहमति समेत भएको छ ।
जिल्ला–नगरतर्फ उपाध्यक्ष पदमा कृष्ण प्रसाद शर्मा र दिल सुन्दर श्रेष्ठ विजयी भएका छन् । शर्मा ८७ मतसहित अगाडि रहँदा श्रेष्ठले ८० मत प्राप्त गरेका छन् । खुला सदस्यतर्फ अर्जुन कुमार श्रेष्ठ, उज्ज्वल प्रसाद कसजु, केशव प्रसाद भण्डारी, कृष्ण कटुवाल, गोकुल श्रेष्ठ, छत्रधर आत्रेय, तारा बहादुर कार्की, दीपक नेपाल, प्रयास कार्की, मोहन प्रसाद श्रेष्ठ, लक्ष्मण राज पौडेल, शंकर गिरी, सन्तोष खड्का, सुदर्शन कार्की र हरिप्रसाद अर्याल निर्वाचित भएका छन् ।
महिला सदस्यतर्फ गीता आमात्य र हिरा भट्टराई निर्वाचित भएका छन् । प्रदेश सदस्यतर्फ कोशीबाट जीवन पराजुली र रमेश विश्वकर्मा, मधेशबाट अमरनाथ शाह र विकास कुमार सारडा, बागमतीबाट प्रकाश मानन्धर र सविन श्रेष्ठ, गण्डकीबाट पविन्द्र कुमार श्रेष्ठ र सुविन श्रेष्ठ तथा लुम्बिनीबाट यज्ञ प्रसाद भट्टराई र बालकृष्ण सुवेदी विजयी भएका छन् । कर्णालीबाट पदम बहादुर शाही र पुरीचन्द्र देवकोटा निर्विरोध चयन भएका छन् ।
सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेशतर्फ भने रोचक अवस्था देखिएको छ । दानबहादुर सुर्मेली र पदमराज चौलागाईंले समान ७/७ मत प्राप्त गरेपछि दुवैले पालैपालो आधा–आधा कार्यकाल जिम्मेवारी सम्हाल्ने सहमति गरेका छन् । यसले महासंघभित्र सहमतिमूलक राजनीतिक अभ्यास अझै कायम रहेको संकेत गरेको छ ।
वस्तुगततर्फ उपाध्यक्ष पदमा नरेशलाल श्रेष्ठ विजयी भएका छन् । उनले शिव प्रसाद घिमिरेलाई केवल ३ मतले पराजित गरे । श्रेष्ठले ६३ मत ल्याउँदा घिमिरेले ६० मत प्राप्त गरेका थिए । सदस्यतर्फ अरनिको राजभण्डारी, नानिराज घिमिरे, पशुपति देव पाण्डे, विदुर धमला, भक्त बहादुर हमाल, रविन पुरी, राजकुमार कार्की, लिलेन्द्र प्रसाद प्रधान, संघर्ष विष्ट, सागर ढकाल र होम प्रसाद घिमिरे निर्वाचित भएका छन् ।
यसै समूहमा निरज बहादुर चलाउने, रघुनन्दन मारु, विप्लव अधिकारी र सुरज बन्जाडेले समान ५०/५० मत ल्याएका कारण उनीहरूले पनि आधा–आधा कार्यकाल सम्हाल्ने सहमति गरेका छन् । महिला सदस्यतर्फ सुनिता न्हेमहाफुकी विजयी भएकी छन् । उनले कमला श्रेष्ठलाई ६ मतले पराजित गर्दै जीत हासिल गरेकी हुन् । न्हेमहाफुकीले ५४ मत प्राप्त गर्दा कमला श्रेष्ठले ४८ मत पाएकी थिइन् ।
एशोसिएटतर्फ उपाध्यक्ष पदमा प्रवल जंग पाण्डेले प्रभावशाली जित निकालेका छन् । उनले निवर्तमान उपाध्यक्ष ज्योत्सना श्रेष्ठलाई ३२९ मतान्तरले पराजित गरेका हुन् । पाण्डेले १ हजार ७९ मत प्राप्त गर्दा श्रेष्ठले ७५० मत ल्याएकी थिइन् । यस परिणामलाई एशोसिएट समूहमा नयाँ पुस्ताको प्रभावशाली उदयका रूपमा समेत हेरिएको छ ।
एशोसिएट समूहबाट अम्बिका प्रसाद पौडेल, ईश्वर बहादुर जिसी, उज्ज्वल कुमार श्रेष्ठ, ऋषि अग्रवाल, कृष्णलाल महर्जन, दिवश न्यौपाने, प्रियराज रेग्मी, बु लामिछाने, बाबु काजी कार्की, राजेश कुमार अग्रवाल, सचिन ढकाल र सुयस प्याकुरेल कार्यसमिति सदस्यमा निर्वाचित भएका छन् । त्यस्तै रामशरण भण्डारी, शक्ति कुमार वेगनी, सुरज उप्रेती, सुशील थापा र हेमन्त गोल्छा पनि विजयी भएका छन् ।
महिला सदस्यतर्फ अभिज्ञ मल्ल र जुना माथेमा निर्वाचित भएका छन् । माथेमाले १ हजार १५६ मत प्राप्त गर्दा मल्लले १ हजार ५९ मत ल्याएकी थिइन् । उनीहरूले जमुना पौडेल र शोभा ज्ञवालीलाई पराजित गरेका हुन् ।
द्वीराष्ट्रिय समूहबाट मनोज पौडेल विजयी भएका छन् भने संस्थापक सदस्य समूहबाट गोपाल श्रेष्ठ र सुमन कुमार श्रेष्ठ निर्वाचित भएका छन् ।
नयाँ कार्यसमिति चयनसँगै महासंघमा अब निजी क्षेत्रका एजेन्डा, लगानी वातावरण सुधार, उद्योग व्यवसाय विस्तार, बैंकिङ ब्याजदर, कर नीतिलगायत विषयमा नयाँ नेतृत्वले कस्तो भूमिका खेल्छ भन्ने चासो व्यवसायिक वृत्तमा बढेको छ । निजी क्षेत्र अहिले आर्थिक मन्दी, लगानी संकुचन र बजार माग घट्दो अवस्थाबाट गुज्रिरहेका बेला महासंघको नयाँ नेतृत्वमाथि सरकारसँग प्रभावकारी समन्वय गरेर व्यवसायिक वातावरण सुधार गर्ने दबाब देखिएको छ ।
A new executive committee of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has officially been elected following the federation’s election held on Baisakh 22. The complete results were made public on Wednesday, confirming a new leadership lineup for Nepal’s largest private-sector umbrella organization. According to FNCCI’s statute, Senior Vice President Anjan Shrestha has automatically assumed the role of president.
Chief Election Officer Leelamani Poudel stated that 137 candidates had contested for 73 positions during the election. The voting saw intense competition across the district-municipality, commodity, and associate categories, reflecting shifting alliances and growing political dynamics within the private sector. In several positions, tied votes even resulted in agreements to split terms equally between candidates.
In the district and municipality category, Krishna Prasad Sharma and Dil Sundar Shrestha were elected vice presidents with 87 and 80 votes respectively. Meanwhile, Arjun Kumar Shrestha, Ujjwal Prasad Kasaju, Keshav Prasad Bhandari, Krishna Katuwal, Gokul Shrestha, Chhatradhar Atreya, Tara Bahadur Karki, Deepak Nepal, Prayas Karki, Mohan Prasad Shrestha, Laxman Raj Poudel, Shankar Giri, Santosh Khadka, Sudarshan Karki, and Hariprasad Aryal were elected as open executive members.
Geeta Amatya and Hira Bhattarai secured victory in the women’s category. Provincial representatives were also elected from all seven provinces. From Koshi Province, Jeevan Parajuli and Ramesh Bishwakarma were elected, while Amar Nath Shah and Bikash Kumar Sarada won from Madhesh Province. Similarly, Prakash Manandhar and Sabin Shrestha were elected from Bagmati, Pavindra Kumar Shrestha and Subin Shrestha from Gandaki, and Yagya Prasad Bhattarai along with Bal Krishna Subedi from Lumbini Province. In Karnali Province, Padam Bahadur Shahi and Purichandra Devkota were elected unopposed.
A particularly unusual outcome emerged in Sudurpashchim Province, where Dan Bahadur Surmeli and Padam Raj Chaulagain received an equal number of votes. Following the tie, both candidates agreed to share the position by serving half of the term each, highlighting a consensus-based political culture within the federation.
In the commodity category, Nareshlal Shrestha was elected vice president after defeating Shiv Prasad Ghimire by just three votes. Shrestha secured 63 votes while Ghimire received 60. Members elected under the same category include Arniko Rajbhandari, Naniraj Ghimire, Pashupati Dev Pandey, Bidur Dhamala, Bhakta Bahadur Hamal, Rabin Puri, Rajkumar Karki, Lilendra Prasad Pradhan, Sangharsha Bista, Sagar Dhakal, and Hom Prasad Ghimire.
Similarly, Niraj Bahadur Chalaune, Raghunandan Maru, Biplav Adhikari, and Suraj Banjade each received 50 votes, leading them to agree on sharing the term equally. In the women’s category, Sunita Nhyemhaphuki defeated Kamala Shrestha by six votes to secure victory. She received 54 votes against Kamala Shrestha’s 48.
The associate category witnessed one of the most decisive victories of the election. Prabal Jung Pandey was elected vice president after defeating outgoing vice president Jyotsna Shrestha by a margin of 329 votes. Pandey received 1,079 votes, while Shrestha managed 750. The result has been interpreted by many as the emergence of a stronger new-generation leadership within the associate group.
Among those elected as executive members from the associate category were Ambika Prasad Poudel, Ishwor Bahadur GC, Ujjwal Kumar Shrestha, Rishi Agrawal, Krishna Lal Maharjan, Dibash Nyaopane, Priyaraj Regmi, Bu Lamichhane, Babu Kaji Karki, Rajesh Kumar Agrawal, Sachin Dhakal, and Suyash Pyakurel. Ramsharan Bhandari, Shakti Kumar Begani, Suraj Upreti, Sushil Thapa, and Hemant Golchha also secured victory.
In the associate women’s category, Abhigya Malla and Juna Mathema were elected after defeating Jamuna Poudel and Shobha Gyawali. Mathema secured 1,156 votes, while Malla received 1,059 votes.
Meanwhile, Manoj Poudel was elected from the bilateral category, while Gopal Shrestha and Suman Kumar Shrestha won from the founding members’ group.
With the new executive committee now in place, attention has shifted toward how the new FNCCI leadership will address key issues facing Nepal’s private sector, including economic slowdown, declining investment, high interest rates, industrial expansion, and policy reforms. Business leaders and investors are now closely watching whether the new leadership under Anjan Shrestha can strengthen coordination with the government and help revive business confidence in the country.
