वृद्धभत्ता पाउने उमेर नबढ्ने, सामाजिक सुरक्षा कार्यक्रममा १ खर्ब ९ अर्ब बजेट विनियोजनNo Increase in Age for Elderly Allowance; NPR 109 Billion Allocated for Social Security Programs
काठमाडौं, जेठ १५ – सरकारले वृद्धभत्ता पाउने उमेर नबढाउने निर्णय गरेको छ।
आगामी आर्थिक वर्ष २०८२/०८३ को बजेट प्रस्तुत गर्दै अर्थमन्त्री विष्णुप्रसाद पौडेलले हालको ६८ वर्ष उमेरको व्यवस्था यथावत् रहने जानकारी दिएका छन्। यसअघि उमेर सीमा बढाउने चर्चा भए पनि बजेट भाषणमा यसबारे कुनै घोषणा गरिएको छैन।
सरकारले सामाजिक सुरक्षा कार्यक्रमहरूका लागि १ खर्ब ९ अर्ब रुपैयाँ बजेट विनियोजन गरेको छ।
अर्थमन्त्री पौडेलका अनुसार, छरिएर रहेका सामाजिक सुरक्षा कार्यक्रमलाई एकीकृत गरिनेछ र सबै सामाजिक सुरक्षा सुविधामा सहभागी हुन राष्ट्रिय परिचयपत्र अनिवार्य बनाइनेछ।
जेष्ठ नागरिकहरूलाई घुम्ती टोलीमार्फत राष्ट्रिय परिचयपत्र वितरण गरिने व्यवस्था पनि बजेटमा गरिएको छ। सरकारको भनाइमा, यस कदमले सामाजिक सुरक्षा प्रणालीलाई थप प्रभावकारी, समावेशी र पारदर्शी बनाउनेछ।
Kathmandu, May 29 – The Government of Nepal has decided not to increase the eligibility age for elderly allowance, despite prior discussions on the matter.
Presenting the budget for the fiscal year 2082/83, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel confirmed that the current age threshold of 68 years for receiving elderly allowance will remain unchanged.
The government has allocated NPR 109 billion for various social security programs.
Minister Paudel also announced that scattered social security programs will be integrated, and access to all such benefits will gradually require a National Identity Card (NID).
To support this, the government will deploy mobile teams to issue National ID cards to senior citizens. The move is aimed at making Nepal’s social protection system more effective, inclusive, and transparent.
