अर्थशास्त्रतर्फको नोबेल पुरस्कार अमेरिकाका दुई र बेलायतका एक अर्थशास्त्रीलाईNobel Prize in Economics Awarded to Three Economists from the U.S. and the U.K.
यस वर्षको अर्थशास्त्रतर्फको नोबेल पुरस्कार तीन अर्थशास्त्रीलाई प्रदान गरिएको छ। द रोयल स्विडिस एकेडेमी अफ साइन्सेसले अमेरिकाका दुई र बेलायतका एक अर्थशास्त्रीलाई यो वर्षको पुरस्कार दिने घोषणा गरेको हो।
एकेडेमीका अनुसार अमेरिकाको नर्थवेस्टर्न युनिभर्सिटीका जोएल मोकिर, ब्राउन युनिभर्सिटीका पिटर हाविट, र बेलायतको द लन्डन स्कुल अफ इकोनोमिक्सका फिलिप आगियोंलाई यस वर्षको नोबेल पुरस्कार प्रदान गरिने भएको छ।
तीनै अर्थशास्त्रीलाई “नवप्रवर्तन मार्फत सञ्चालित आर्थिक वृद्धिको व्याख्या गरेको योगदान”का लागि सम्मानित गरिएको हो।
पुरस्कारको आधा भाग जोएल मोकिरलाई प्रविधिगत प्रगतिमार्फत दिगो आर्थिक वृद्धिका पूर्वसर्त पहिचान गरेको योगदानका लागि दिइनेछ, जबकि बाँकी आधा भाग फिलिप आगियों र पिटर हाविटलाई संयुक्त रूपमा “रचनात्मक विनाश (Creative Destruction) मार्फत दिगो आर्थिक वृद्धिको सिद्धान्त विकास गरेको योगदान”मा प्रदान गरिनेछ।
नोबेल समितिका अनुसार उनीहरूको अध्ययनले दीर्घकालीन आर्थिक विकास, नवप्रवर्तन, र प्रविधिगत प्रगतिले कसरी समाजमा उत्पादनशीलता र समृद्धि बढाउँछ भन्ने विषयमा गहिरो प्रभाव पारेको छ।
The Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences for 2025 has been awarded to three distinguished economists — two from the United States and one from the United Kingdom, as announced by The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
According to the Academy, this year’s prize goes to Joel Mokyr of Northwestern University (USA), Peter Howitt of Brown University (USA), and Philippe Aghion of The London School of Economics (U.K.) for their groundbreaking work on “explaining economic growth driven by innovation.”
Half of the prize will be awarded to Joel Mokyr for his contributions in identifying the preconditions for sustainable economic growth through technological progress, while the remaining half will be shared jointly between Philippe Aghion and Peter Howitt for developing the theory of sustainable economic growth through creative destruction.
The Nobel Committee stated that their research has profoundly influenced modern understanding of how innovation, technology, and creative destruction drive long-term economic development, productivity, and societal prosperity.
