आयल निगमलाई पाक्षिक ६२ करोड घाटा, मूल्य भने यथावत्Oil Corporation Posts Rs 626 Million Loss in Fortnight; Prices Held Steady
काठमाडौँ — नेपाल आयल निगमले पछिल्लो पन्ध्र दिनमा ६२ करोड ८६ लाख रुपैयाँ घाटा बेहोरेको जनाएको छ। यति घाटा हुँदाहुँदै पनि निगमले पेट्रोलियम पदार्थको खुद्रा बिक्री मूल्य हाललाई यथावत् राख्ने निर्णय गरेको छ।
निगमका अनुसार काठमाडौंमा पेट्रोल प्रतिलिटर २१७ रुपैयाँ, डिजेल तथा मट्टितेल प्रतिलिटर २२५ रुपैयाँ र १४.२ केजीको एलपी ग्यास सिलिन्डर २,१६० रुपैयाँमा अपरिवर्तित रहनेछ।
मूल्य नबढाउनुको मुख्य कारण उपभोक्तामाथि थप भार पार्न नचाहनु रहेको निगमले बताएको छ। मध्यपूर्वमा जारी द्वन्द्वका कारण अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय बजारमा पेट्रोलियम पदार्थको मूल्य निरन्तर बढिरहेको र भारतीय आयल कर्पोरेसन (आईओसी) बाट प्राप्त नयाँ खरिद मूल्यका आधारमा समायोजन गर्न कठिन भए पनि हाललाई मूल्य नबढाइएको हो।
निगमले अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय बजारको अवस्थाअनुसार आगामी दिनमा मूल्य समायोजनबारे आवश्यक निर्णय गर्ने जनाएको छ।
Kathmandu — The Nepal Oil Corporation has reported a loss of Rs 628.6 million over the past fortnight. Despite the loss, the corporation has decided to keep the retail prices of petroleum products unchanged for now.
According to the corporation, in Kathmandu petrol will remain at Rs 217 per litre, diesel and kerosene at Rs 225 per litre, and the 14.2 kg LP gas cylinder at Rs 2,160.
The corporation said the main reason for not raising prices is its intention to avoid placing an additional burden on consumers. It noted that petroleum prices in the international market have been climbing steadily due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, and that although adjusting prices based on the new purchase rates received from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is difficult, prices have been kept unchanged for the time being.
The corporation said it will make the necessary decisions regarding price adjustments in the coming days, in line with conditions in the international market.
