Peoples Hydropower to Hold 18th AGM on January 7, Right Share Agenda on the Table

Kathmandu — Peoples Hydropower Company Limited (PHCL) has announced its 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled to be held on January 7 (Poush 23, 2082). The meeting will take place at Kwality Banquet in Buddhanagar, Kathmandu, starting at 11:00 AM.

The AGM will consider and approve the company’s annual report and endorse the auditor’s report for fiscal year 2021/22 (FY 2081/82), including the profit and loss statement, financial statements, and cash flow statement.

The meeting will also appoint an auditor and determine remuneration for the fiscal year 2022/23 (FY 2082/83). Other general business matters will also be discussed during the AGM.

Among the key agendas is a proposal to issue right shares in a 1:1 ratio. The company plans to seek shareholder approval for the proposed right share issuance as part of its capital strengthening strategy.

For the purpose of the AGM, the company has announced a book closure date on December 26 (Poush 11). Accordingly, shareholders who maintain their shareholding until December 25 (Poush 10) will be eligible to attend the AGM.
