अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय वित्तीय प्रणाली सुधारमा जोड दिदै स्पेनमा प्रधानमन्त्री ओलीको सम्बोधनPM Oli Stresses Reform of International Financial System at Civil Society Forum
स्पेनको औपचारिक भ्रमणमा रहेका प्रधानमन्त्री केपी शर्मा ओलीले सिभिल सोसाइटी फोरमको प्लेनरी समापन सत्रलाई प्रमुख अतिथिका रूपमा सम्बोधन गर्दै अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय वित्तीय प्रणाली सुधारको आवश्यकता औंल्याएका छन्।
संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघको ‘विकासका लागि वित्तसम्बन्धी चौथो अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सम्मेलन’मा सहभागिता जनाउन स्पेन गएका प्रधानमन्त्री ओलीले विकासशील राष्ट्रहरूले वित्तीय लगानी सुनिश्चित गर्न आफ्ना प्रतिबद्धता पूरा गर्नु जरुरी रहेको बताए।
प्रधानमन्त्री ओलीले विकास सहयोग, ऋण दिगोपना तथा वित्तीय संरचनामा सुधारका लागि अझै पूरा नभएका एजेन्डाहरूमा नागरिक समाजले सक्रिय रुपमा आवाज उठाउनुपर्ने आवश्यकता औंल्याए।
उनले भने, “तपाईंहरू केवल सहभागी होइन, परिवर्तनका उत्प्रेरक पनि हो। तपाईंहरूको आवाजले ठोस परिणाम ल्याउन सक्छ।” उनले नेपाल सुशासन, विधिको शासन र लोकतान्त्रिक मूल्यमा विश्वास राख्दै समावेशी र समानुपातिक आधारमा विश्वव्यापी लगानीको पैरवी गरिरहेको बताए।
कार्यक्रममा स्पेन सरकारका उपाध्यक्ष काल्भो पोयाटोको समेत उपस्थिति रहेको थियो। कार्यक्रममा प्रधानमन्त्री ओलीले निजी क्षेत्रको पुँजीलाई रोजगारी सिर्जना, समावेशी वृद्धि र स्रोत परिचालनमा लगाउन सबै पक्षको साझा दायित्व रहेको उल्लेख गरे।
प्रधानमन्त्री ओलीले कसैलाई पछाडि नपार्ने, समतामूलक र दिगो भविष्य निर्माणका लागि नागरिक समाजले अग्रसर भई साझा दायित्व वहन गर्नुपर्नेमा जोड दिए।
सो सत्रबाट पारित घोषणापत्रलाई ‘विकासका लागि वित्तसम्बन्धी चौथो अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सम्मेलन’ले आधिकारिक रूपमा स्वीकार गर्नेछ।
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, currently on an official visit to Spain to participate in the United Nations’ Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, addressed the closing plenary session of the Civil Society Forum as the chief guest, emphasizing the need for reform in the global financial system.
During his address, PM Oli highlighted that developing countries must fulfill their commitments to attract and utilize financial investments effectively. He stressed the importance of continued advocacy by civil society on unresolved agendas related to development aid, debt sustainability, and financial system reform.
“You are not just participants of this forum, but catalysts for change and powerful voices,” Oli said. “Your advocacy can contribute to visible, meaningful outcomes.” He reiterated Nepal’s strong belief in good governance, rule of law, and democratic values, noting that the country is progressing toward inclusive development and prosperity. He added that investments should be made globally based on inclusiveness, needs, and proportionality, and praised civil society’s global partnerships and engagement.
Calling for equitable and sustainable futures that leave no one behind, PM Oli urged civil society to contribute actively toward building a just world for people and the planet.
Speaking at the same event, which was also attended by Spanish Deputy Prime Minister Carmen Calvo Poyato, Oli stressed the shared responsibility of all stakeholders to mobilize private capital for decent job creation, inclusive growth, and development resource mobilization.
The declaration passed by the civil society session will be formally adopted by the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development.
