The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has resumed the process for the issuance of ordinary shares, which had been on hold for a long time. The board has granted permission to two companies, Crest Micro Life Insurance Limited and Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals, to issue ordinary shares. Crest Micro Life Insurance Limited has been allowed to issue 22.5 lakh shares worth NPR 225 million, with the share issuance manager being NIMB S Capital. Meanwhile, Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals has been granted approval to issue 1.8 million shares worth NPR 180 million, with Prabhu Capital as the share issuance manager. Together, the two companies have been allowed to issue 8.55 million shares worth a total of NPR 855 million.

Additionally, the board has implemented a new regulation for the issuance and trading of securities by small and medium-sized organized enterprises, which will pave the way for these companies to issue ordinary shares. This new regulation is considered a crucial step for the expansion and growth of the stock market. So far, the Securities Board of Nepal has received applications for the issuance of 35.5 million 37 thousand 285 shares worth a total of NPR 51.11 billion.
