अमेरिकी उपराष्ट्रपति JD Vance ले इरानसँग भइरहेको शान्ति वार्तामा उल्लेखनीय प्रगति भएको बताएका छन् । सञ्चारकर्मीसँग कुरा गर्दै उनले अमेरिका र इरान दुवै पक्ष सैन्य तनावलाई थप चर्काउन इच्छुक नरहेको बताए। उनका अनुसार राष्ट्रपति Donald Trump को निर्देशनअनुसार अमेरिका इमानदारीपूर्वक वार्ता प्रक्रियामा सहभागी भइरहेको छ। भान्सले वार्ता असफल भएमा वैकल्पिक योजना पनि तयार रहेको चेतावनी दिँदै इरानलाई कुनै पनि अवस्थामा आणविक हतियार प्राप्त गर्न नदिने अमेरिकी अडान दोहोर्याए। रुसले इरानको संवर्धित युरेनियम आफ्नो नियन्त्रणमा लिने भन्ने प्रतिवेदनलाई उनले अस्वीकार गर्दै त्यस्तो योजना अमेरिकी रणनीतिमा नरहेको स्पष्ट पारे। यसअघि राष्ट्रपति ट्रम्पले पाकिस्तानको मध्यस्थतामा भइरहेको वार्तामा प्रगति भएको जानकारी प्राप्त भएको बताएका थिए र वार्तालाई निष्कर्षमा पुर्याउन थप दुईदेखि तीन दिनको समय दिएका छन्। साथै, ट्रम्पले इरानविरुद्ध मंगलबारका लागि तय गरिएको सैन्य आक्रमणको योजना तत्कालका लागि स्थगित गर्न पेन्टागनलाई निर्देशन दिएका छन् ।
U.S. Vice President JD Vance has said that significant progress has been made in the ongoing peace talks with Iran. Speaking to reporters, he stated that both the United States and Iran are not willing to continue escalating military tensions. According to Vance, the U.S. is sincerely moving forward with the negotiation process under the direction of President Donald Trump. He warned that an alternative plan is also ready if the talks fail and reiterated Washington’s stance that Iran must never obtain nuclear weapons. Vance also dismissed reports claiming that Russia would take control of Iran’s enriched uranium, saying such an arrangement is not part of the current U.S. strategy. Earlier, President Trump had stated that progress was being made in the Pakistan-mediated negotiations and had allowed an additional two to three days to reach a logical conclusion. Meanwhile, Trump has instructed the Pentagon to suspend the military strike against Iran that had been planned for Tuesday.
