सिरियाली विद्रोही समूह हयात तहरीर अल-शाम (एचटीएस)ले राजधानी दमास्कस कब्जा गरेसँगै देशको अर्थतन्त्र गम्भीर संकटतर्फ उन्मुख भएको संकेत देखिएको छ। सरकारी प्रशासन र वित्तीय प्रणाली अस्थिर हुँदा व्यापारिक गतिविधिमा ठूलो गिरावट आउने अनुमान गरिएको छ।
