आन्ध्र प्रदेशमा ११ अर्ब डलरको एआई मेगा प्रोजेक्ट: रिलायन्स समूहको विशाल लगानी, भारत एआई हब बन्दैReliance to Build $11 Billion AI Mega Center in Andhra Pradesh as India Emerges as a Global AI Hub
भारतको रिलायन्स उद्योग समूहले क्यानडाली र अमेरिकी साझेदारहरूसँग मिलेर आन्ध्र प्रदेशको विशाखापट्टनममा ११ अर्ब डलर बराबरको विशाल कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता (एआई) केन्द्र निर्माण गर्ने भएको छ। राज्य सरकारले बुधबार सार्वजनिक गरेको जानकारीअनुसार पाँच वर्षभित्र निर्माण सम्पन्न हुने यस गिगा–स्तरको एआई केन्द्र एक गिगावाट क्षमतामा सञ्चालन हुनेछ।
यसअघि गुगलले पनि यही शहरमा १५ अर्ब डलर बराबरको डेटा–सेन्टर तथा एआई संरचना विकास गर्ने योजना घोषणा गरिसकेको छ, जुन अमेरिकाबाहिर कम्पनीको सबैभन्दा ठूलो परियोजना मानिन्छ।
रिलायन्स, क्यानडास्थित ब्रुकफिल्ड र अमेरिकाको डिजिटल रियल्टीबीचको संयुक्त लगानीमा बन्ने यो परियोजनाले आन्ध्र प्रदेशलाई उन्नत डिजिटल पूर्वाधार र भविष्यका हाइ–परफर्मेन्स कम्प्युटिङ प्रविधिको प्रमुख गन्तव्यका रूपमा स्थापित गर्ने राज्य सरकारले जनाएको छ।
आन्ध्र प्रदेशका मुख्यमन्त्री एन. चन्द्रबाबु नायडूले सामाजिक सञ्जालमा लेख्दै भने,
“यो लगानीले रोजगारी, नयाँ प्रविधि विकास र विश्वस्तरीय लगानी आकर्षित गर्ने प्रक्रियामा ठूलो फड्को मार्नेछ।”
भारतमा एआई प्रविधिको माग तीव्र गतिमा बढिरहेको छ। यस वर्षअन्त्यसम्म इन्टरनेट प्रयोगकर्ता ९० करोडको नजिक पुग्ने अनुमान गरिएको छ, जसका कारण ठूलो मात्रामा डिजिटल डेटा, ऊर्जा–खपत र कम्प्युटिङ क्षमता आवश्यक पर्ने एआई संरचनाहरूको माग उच्च भएको छ।
यसैबीच, अमेरिकी एआई कम्पनीहरूले पनि भारतमा निरन्तर विस्तार गरिरहेका छन्। अक्टोबरमा एआई कम्पनी ‘एनथ्रोपिक’ ले भारतमा कार्यालय खोल्ने घोषणा गर्दै प्रमुख दारियो अमोडेईले प्रधानमन्त्री नरेन्द्र मोदीसँग भेट गरेका थिए। ओपनएआईले पनि भारतमा कार्यालय विस्तारको तयारी गरिरहेको छ, जसमा संस्थाका प्रमुख साम आल्टम्यानले च्याटजीपीटी प्रयोग भारतमा चार गुणा वृद्धि भएको बताए।
साथै, एआई कम्पनी ‘पप्र्लेक्सिटी’ ले भारतीय टेलिकम कम्पनी ‘एयरटेल’सँग साझेदारी गर्दै ३६ करोड ग्राहकलाई एक वर्षसम्म निःशुल्क प्रिमियम सेवा उपलब्ध गराउने घोषणा गरिसकेको छ।
भारतमा तीव्र रूपमा बढ्दै गएको एआई लगानी र संरचना विस्तारका गतिविधिले देशलाई विश्वकै प्रमुख एआई हबको दिशातर्फ अघि बढाइरहेको विश्लेषकहरूले जनाएका छन्।
Reliance Industries, in partnership with Canadian firm Brookfield and US-based Digital Realty, is set to invest $11 billion to build a massive artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure hub in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The state government announced the landmark investment on Wednesday.
The project, expected to be completed within five years, will feature a 1-gigawatt AI computing center, making it one of the largest high-capacity AI facilities in Asia. This announcement comes shortly after Google revealed its own plan to invest $15 billion in a data-center and AI infrastructure project in the same city—its largest project outside the United States.
According to the state government, the Reliance-led joint project will help position Andhra Pradesh as a leading destination for advanced digital infrastructure and future high-performance computing technologies.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu wrote on social media:
“This investment will accelerate job creation, boost technological innovation, and attract world-class investments into the state.”
India’s demand for AI infrastructure has surged dramatically as the number of internet users is projected to reach 900 million by the end of this year. The rapid growth of digital data, coupled with the energy-intensive nature of AI systems, has led to a global race to build large-scale AI computing centers.
Meanwhile, major US-based AI companies continue expanding their presence in India. In October, AI firm Anthropic announced plans to open an office in India, following a meeting between CEO Dario Amodei and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. OpenAI has also confirmed plans to establish an office in the country, with CEO Sam Altman noting that ChatGPT usage in India has surged fourfold compared to last year.
Similarly, AI company Perplexity AI partnered with telecom giant Airtel in July to offer free premium access to 360 million users for one year.
Experts say India’s fast-rising AI investments and infrastructure development are positioning the country as one of the world’s next major AI hubs, attracting global innovation and high-value technology projects.
