RNLI Reliable Nepal Life Insurance Sees 36.85% Surge in Profit: Strong Growth in Premium Income and Earnings per Share

Reliable Nepal Life Insurance has posted impressive financial performance for the third quarter of the current fiscal year 2080/81 (2023/24). As of the end of Chaitra, the company has reported a net profit of NPR 465.8 million, marking a significant 36.85% increase compared to NPR 340.2 million in the same period of the previous fiscal year. This sharp rise highlights the insurer’s improving profitability and operational efficiency.

The company recorded a 27.18% growth in net premium income, reaching NPR 3.48 billion. This increase reflects a healthy expansion in the company’s insurance business, indicating that more customers are opting for life insurance policies and that the company's market penetration is improving.
Reliable’s total income rose to NPR 4.76 billion, up from NPR 3.74 billion in the same period last year. However, expenses also climbed to NPR 4.31 billion from NPR 3.40 billion. Despite the rising costs, income growth has outpaced expenses, ensuring the company maintains a positive operational margin.
With a paid-up capital of NPR 4.64 billion, the company has shown strong returns for its investors. Its Earnings Per Share (EPS) reached NPR 13.38, and Net Worth Per Share stood at NPR 167.97, indicating strong financial fundamentals and enhanced shareholder value.
