Sagarmatha Hydropower Calls AGM to Approve 100% Rights Share Issue

Sagarmatha Hydropower Company Limited (SMJC) has announced the date for its fifth Annual General Meeting (AGM) to endorse a proposal for issuing 100 percent rights shares. The meeting is scheduled for Friday, December 12, at Smart Darbar, Shankhapark, Kathmandu, beginning at 11 AM.

The AGM will consider a special resolution to issue rights shares in a 1:1 ratio based on the company’s current paid-up capital of NPR 1.17 billion. The meeting will also discuss amendments to the company’s Memorandum and Articles of Association, appointment of auditors, approval of the corporate governance report, and matters related to institutional guarantors.

For AGM and rights share eligibility, the company has announced a book-closure date on November 29 (Mangsir 14). Shareholders holding shares traded till November 26 (Mangsir 11) in NEPSE will be eligible to participate in the AGM.
