नेपाल आयल निगमले पेट्रोलियम पदार्थको मूल्यमा उल्लेख्य कटौती गरेको छ। निगम सञ्चालक समितिको मंगलबारको निर्णयअनुसार बुधबार बिहान १२ बजेदेखि लागू हुने गरी पेट्रोलमा प्रतिलिटर २० रुपैयाँ, डिजेल तथा मट्टितेलमा प्रतिलिटर ३० रुपैयाँ र आन्तरिक हवाई इन्धनमा प्रतिलिटर ४० रुपैयाँ मूल्य घटाइएको हो। त्यसैगरी, खाना पकाउने एलपी ग्यासको मूल्य पनि प्रतिसिलिन्डर १०० रुपैयाँ घटाइएको निगमले जनाएको छ। नयाँ मूल्यअनुसार काठमाडौं, पोखरा र दिपायल (तेस्रो वर्ग) मा पेट्रोलको खुद्रा मूल्य प्रतिलिटर १९७ रुपैयाँ कायम भएको छ। डिजेल तथा मट्टितेलको मूल्य प्रतिलिटर १९५ रुपैयाँ तोकिएको छ भने आन्तरिक हवाई इन्धन प्रतिलिटर २२९ रुपैयाँमा बिक्री हुनेछ। एलपी ग्यासको १४.२ किलोग्राम क्षमताको सिलिन्डरको मूल्य २ हजार ६० रुपैयाँ कायम गरिएको छ। निगमका अनुसार अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय बजारमा पेट्रोलियम पदार्थको मूल्य घटेसँगै भारतीय आयल कर्पोरेसन (आईओसी) बाट प्राप्त नयाँ खरिद मूल्यका आधारमा मूल्य समायोजन गरिएको हो। आईओसीबाट प्राप्त नयाँ मूल्यअनुसार पेट्रोलको खरिद मूल्य प्रतिलिटर १५ रुपैयाँ ९ पैसा, डिजेलको २९ रुपैयाँ ४६ पैसा, हवाई इन्धनको २९ रुपैयाँ ४२ पैसा तथा एलपी ग्यासको मूल्य पनि घटेर आएको थियो। यही आधारमा निगमले पेट्रोलमा २० रुपैयाँ, डिजेल तथा मट्टितेलमा ३० रुपैयाँ, आन्तरिक हवाई इन्धनमा ४० रुपैयाँ तथा एलपी ग्यासमा प्रतिसिलिन्डर १०० रुपैयाँ मूल्य घटाउने निर्णय गरेको जनाएको छ। अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय हवाई इन्धनतर्फ काठमाडौंका लागि प्रतिकिलोलिटर २६५ अमेरिकी डलरले मूल्य घटाइएको छ। पोखरा र भैरहवाका लागि भने ‘ब्रेकइभेन’ मूल्य कायम गरिएको निगमले जनाएको छ。

The Nepal Oil Corporation has made a significant reduction in petroleum prices. As per the decision of the Corporation's Board of Directors on Tuesday, the prices will be effective from Wednesday morning at 12:00 PM, with a reduction of Rs 20 per liter in petrol, Rs 30 per liter in diesel and kerosene, and Rs 40 per liter in domestic aviation fuel. The price of cooking LPG has also been reduced by Rs 100 per cylinder, as announced by the Corporation. According to the new prices, the retail price of petrol in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal (third class) will be Rs 197 per liter. The price of diesel and kerosene has been set at Rs 195 per liter, while domestic aviation fuel will be sold at Rs 229 per liter. The price of an LPG cylinder with a capacity of 14.2 kilograms has been fixed at Rs 2,060. According to the Corporation, the prices have been adjusted based on the new purchase prices received from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), following a decrease in petroleum prices in the international market. The new prices received from IOC show a decrease in the purchase price of petrol to Rs 15.09 per liter, diesel to Rs 29.46 per liter, aviation fuel to Rs 29.42 per liter, and LPG. Based on this, the Corporation has decided to reduce the price of petrol by Rs 20 per liter, diesel and kerosene by Rs 30 per liter, domestic aviation fuel by Rs 40 per liter, and LPG by Rs 100 per cylinder. The price of international aviation fuel has been reduced by $265 per kiloliter for Kathmandu. The 'breakeven' price has been maintained for Pokhara and Bhairahawa, as announced by the Corporation.
