सेबोनमा आईपीओ स्वीकृतिमा सुस्तता, कम्पनी र लगानीकर्ता दुबै निराशSlowdown in IPO Approvals at SEBON, Both Companies and Investors Frustrated
नेपाल धितोपत्र बोर्ड (सेबोन)मा हाल ८८ वटा कम्पनीले करिब ५६ अर्ब रुपैयाँभन्दा बढी मूल्यको प्रारम्भिक सार्वजनिक निष्कासन (आईपीओ) प्रस्ताव स्वीकृतिको पर्खाइमा छन्। यीमध्ये ४४ वटा कम्पनी जलविद्युत् क्षेत्रसँग सम्बन्धित छन्, जसले जलविद्युत् क्षेत्रको आईपीओ बजारमा वर्चस्व देखिएको छ। बाँकी कम्पनीहरू उत्पादन, सेवा, होटल, बीमा, माइक्रोफाइनान्स र लगानी क्षेत्रमा सक्रिय छन्।
कुल ४० करोड ३९ लाख ७० हजार बढी कित्ता सेयर निष्कासन गर्ने तयारी भइरहेको छ। आवेदन दिन चाहनेहरूले कम्तीमा एक लाख सात हजार रुपैयाँ जोहो गर्नुपर्नेछ, प्रिमियम मूल्य भएका कम्पनीहरूमा अझ बढी रकम आवश्यक पर्न सक्छ।
सेबोनले कम्पनीहरूको वित्तीय अवस्था मूल्याङ्कन गरी मात्रै स्वीकृति दिने जनाएको छ। यद्यपि, नेतृत्व र व्यवस्थापनमा ढिलाइका कारण धेरै प्रस्तावहरू लम्बिएको भन्दै लगानीकर्ता र कम्पनीहरू दुवै निराश छन्। सेबोनले प्रक्रियालाई तीव्र पार्न नीतिगत सुधारको तयारी गरिरहेको छ।
Currently, 88 companies have submitted Initial Public Offering (IPO) proposals worth over Rs 56 billion to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) and are awaiting approval. Among them, 44 companies are from the hydropower sector, indicating its dominance in the upcoming IPO market. The rest belong to manufacturing, services, hotels, insurance, microfinance, and investment sectors.
Around 403.97 million shares are proposed for issuance. Applicants will need to arrange at least Rs 107,000 to apply, with higher amounts needed for companies issuing shares at premium prices.
SEBON has stated that it will approve the proposals only after evaluating the financial condition of the companies. However, delays in leadership and management processes have kept many proposals pending, causing frustration among investors and companies alike. SEBON has indicated that it is working on policy reforms to speed up the approval process.
