Recently, incidents of financial fraud have been on the rise. Unknown individuals are attempting to lure people through various mobile apps such as WhatsApp, Viber, Messenger, as well as through emails and messages. These communications often claim a parcel has arrived from abroad, promise quick profits through cryptocurrency or FOREX investments, or offer foreign aid or loans.
Be Cautious! Such messages are typically sent with fraudulent intentions. Do not trust offers from unknown individuals. Never share personal information like your bank account number, PIN, password, or OTP with anyone. Avoid scanning any QR codes or clicking on unknown links.
Advice from Nepal Rastra Bank When it comes to financial offers or investment opportunities, always consult with Nepal's regulatory or relevant authorities. Prioritize financial security and stay alert to avoid falling victim to scams.
