Kathmandu — A promoter shareholder of SuryaJyoti Life Insurance Company Limited has initiated the process to sell 220,000 promoter shares, the company announced through a public notice.According to the company, the decision to proceed with the sale was approved by the board of directors after a formal request from the concerned shareholder. In line with regulatory provisions, existing promoter shareholders will be given first priority to purchase these shares.Interested promoter shareholders are required to submit their applications within 35 days from the date of notice publication. Applications must be submitted to the company’s share registrar, NIC Asia Capital Limited, located at Trade Tower, Thapathali, Kathmandu, during office hours. Applicants must clearly mention the number of shares they wish to purchase along with the proposed price in a sealed bid.The company has stated that if no applications are received from existing promoter shareholders within the given timeframe, the shares may be offered to other individuals or institutions as per prevailing regulations.This move is expected to create an opportunity for existing promoters to increase their stake, while also potentially altering the company’s shareholding structure depending on the level of participation.
