Swabalamban Laghubitta to Hold 24th AGM on January 9, Proposes 10% Dividend

Kathmandu — Swabalamban Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SWBBL) has announced its 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled to be held on January 9 (Poush 25, 2082) at Lisara Receptions in Naxal, Kathmandu. The meeting will commence at 11:00 AM.

One of the key agendas of the AGM is to endorse a 10 percent dividend from the profit of fiscal year 2021/22 (FY 2081/82). The dividend proposal was approved by the company’s 467th meeting of the Board of Directors held on December 18 (Mangsir 3, 2082), based on the paid-up capital of Rs 1.65 billion.

According to the proposal, shareholders will receive 5.6365 percent bonus shares worth Rs 93.375 million, along with a 4.3635 percent cash dividend (including tax) amounting to Rs 72.2 million.

The AGM will also endorse the auditor’s report, profit and loss account, financial statements, and cash flow statements. In addition, the meeting will appoint an auditor and determine remuneration for the fiscal year 2022/23 (FY 2082/83). An agenda to elect an independent director has also been included.

For the purpose of the AGM and dividend distribution, the company has announced a book closure starting from December 28 (Poush 13). Accordingly, shareholders who maintain their shareholding until December 27 (Poush 12) will be eligible to receive the proposed dividend and attend the AGM.
