Swabalamban Microfinance Announces 10% Dividend for FY 2081/82

Kathmandu — Swabalamban Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha has proposed a 10 percent dividend for its shareholders from the profit of fiscal year 2081/82. The decision was endorsed by the company’s board of directors during a meeting held on Wednesday evening.

According to company secretary Chandramani Chaulagain, the board has proposed 5.63 percent bonus shares and 4.36 percent cash dividend (including tax) based on the current paid-up capital.

Swabalamban Microfinance currently has a paid-up capital of Rs 1.65 billion 66 lakh 25 thousand.

The proposed dividend will be distributed only after it receives approval from Nepal Rastra Bank and is ratified by the company's upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Market analysts note that Swabalamban has maintained a consistent dividend distribution trend in recent years, which is expected to further strengthen investor confidence in the microfinance institution.
