The number of brokerage firms serving investors in Nepal’s stock market is steadily growing. NEPSE has been granting licenses to brokerage firms to facilitate securities trading, helping to enhance services for both investors and the market. Recently, several new companies have joined, aiming to provide additional support to the market and investors.
Total Number of Brokerage Firms Reaches 90: In the fiscal year 2080/81, 82 brokerage firms were authorized to operate in the securities market, a figure that has now grown to 90.
Licensing of Eight New Brokerage Firms: Eight recently approved brokerage firms are expected to increase market participation.
Renewal of Two Companies as Stock Dealers: This fiscal year, Citizen Stock Dealer Company Limited and Nabil Stock Dealer Limited have had their memberships renewed as stock dealers.
Full and Limited Licensing: NEPSE has granted full operational licenses to two companies—NIMB Stock Markets Limited and Himalayan Securities Limited—while the other 88 companies are authorized for limited operations.
