The share market will now reopen only on Sunday, Falgun 10.

The market continued its downward trend today as well, closing lower for the second consecutive trading day. Similar to Monday, prices declined on Tuesday, reflecting continued weakness in investor sentiment. This week, the stock market was open only on Monday and Tuesday, and it will remain closed for the rest of the week.

Due to public holidays on Sunday for Shivaratri, Wednesday for Gyalpo Lhosar, and Thursday for Democracy Day, trading at the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) will remain suspended. As a result, share trading will resume only on Falgun 10 (Sunday).

Market analysts say that the consecutive holidays and the recent decline in the index have made investors more cautious. Continuous selling pressure and falling indicators have weakened market confidence.

When trading resumes, the market’s direction, trading volume, and investor sentiment are expected to play a crucial role in determining the short-term trend.
