Three Candidates Called Again for Interview for the Position of Chairman of Securities Board

The Nepal Securities Board has been without a chairman for a significant period, and efforts are underway to select a qualified individual for this role. The interview process was recently affected by the absence of certain candidates. The selection committee has now called these absent candidates to attend a re-interview.

• Three candidates have been called for a re-interview to expedite the selection process for the chairman of the Nepal Securities Board.

• The selection committee has invited Krishna Bahadur Karki, Chiranjivi Chapagain, and Dr. Navaraj Adhikari, who were previously absent, to attend the interview.

• The candidates have been asked to appear at the Ministry of Finance, Singha Durbar, on Mangsir 9 at 8 a.m.

• The board has been without a chairman since 20th Poush 2080, causing a delay in the appointment process.

• Previously, only Santosh Narayan Shrestha and Executive Director Mukti Shrestha of the Securities Board attended the interview.

The delay in the chairman selection process has affected regulatory functions, and there is a high expectation that the position will soon be filled to enhance financial oversight and management.
