नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकको गभर्नर नियुक्तिका लागि गठित सिफारिस समितिले तीन जनाको नाम सिफारिस गरेको छ। मंगलबार अर्थ मन्त्रालयमा बसेको समितिको बैठकले यो निर्णय गरेको हो।
सिफारिस गरिएका तीन नाममध्ये पहिलो नम्बरमा डा. विश्व पौडेलको नाम रहेको छ। समितिमा अर्थमन्त्रीको संयोजकत्वमा पूर्वगभर्नर महाप्रसाद अधिकारी र अर्थविद् पोषराज पाण्डे सदस्य रहेका छन्।
सिफारिस समितिको यो निर्णयलाई मन्त्रिपरिषद्को आगामी बैठकले अनुमोदन गरी एक जनालाई नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकको १८औँ गभर्नरको रूपमा नियुक्त गर्नेछ। गभर्नरको पद गत चैत २४ गतेदेखि रिक्त रहेको थियो।
यो सिफारिसले नेपालको केन्द्रीय बैंकको नेतृत्व चयनमा महत्त्वपूर्ण कदम चालिएको छ, जसले मुलुकको आर्थिक नीति र वित्तीय स्थायित्वमा प्रभाव पार्नेछ।
The Governor Recommendation Committee has shortlisted three candidates for the position of Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank. The decision was made during a meeting held on Tuesday at the Ministry of Finance.
Dr. Bishwa Paudel leads the list of recommended candidates. The committee, chaired by the Finance Minister, includes former Governor Mahaprasad Adhikari and economist Poshraj Pandey as members.
The Council of Ministers is expected to approve one of the candidates in its upcoming meeting, appointing the 18th Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank. The position has been vacant since March 24, 2025.
This recommendation marks a significant step in selecting the leadership for Nepal’s central bank, which will influence the country’s economic policies and financial stability.
