Today is the Final Day to Secure Dividends of Two Companies as Book Closure Begins Tomorrow and the Day After

Today marks the last opportunity for investors to secure dividends from Sikles Hydropower and ICFC Finance, as both companies are set to close their books tomorrow and the day after for the purpose of their upcoming annual general meetings (AGMs) and dividend distribution. Only shareholders who purchase or hold shares until today will be eligible to receive the proposed dividends.

Sikles Hydropower has scheduled its AGM for Mangsir 29 (Monday) at Abhiyan Club, Gharipatan, Pokhara, Kaski. For this purpose, the company will conduct its book closure on Mangsir 18 (Thursday). Similarly, ICFC Finance will close its books on Mangsir 19, but since Thursday is a public holiday, today is effectively the last day for investors to secure its dividend eligibility.

According to the proposal, Sikles Hydropower plans to distribute 15% bonus shares (equivalent to Rs. 12 crore 75 lakh) from the accumulated profits of FY 2080/81 and 2081/82. Additionally, the company has proposed a 0.789% cash dividend (Rs. 67 lakh 10 thousand 526.32) for tax purposes.

After issuing the bonus shares, the company also intends to float a 100% right share in a 1:1 ratio, with plans to invest the raised capital in other hydropower projects.

Furthermore, the company has proposed a 15.7895% cash dividend (including tax) from the profit of FY 2081/82 based on its current paid-up capital. This is the highest cash dividend proposed by the company in the last eight years.

With attractive dividend declarations and a right-share plan in place, Sikles Hydropower has drawn increased attention from investors. Likewise, ICFC Finance shareholders are also active today as they rush to secure their dividend before the book closure.
