Today Is the Last Day to Purchase Units of Citizens Balanced Fund

Today (January 2, 2026) is the final day to apply for units of the Citizens Balanced Scheme, a mutual fund issue managed by Citizens Capital Limited, which has been open to the public since December 19, 2025. The scheme has offered 100 million units at a par value of NPR 10 per unit, amounting to a total size of NPR 1 billion. Out of the total issue, 15% (15 million units) has been reserved for the fund promoter, Citizens Bank International Limited, while the remaining 85% is available to the general public. Investors can apply for a minimum of 100 units and up to a maximum of 10 million units in this 10-year closed-ended scheme. Applications can be submitted through C-ASBA participating banks and financial institutions or via the ‘Mero Share’ online platform developed by CDS and Clearing Limited. In terms of ratings, ICRA Nepal has assigned an Issuer Rating of BBB+ to the fund promoter and an AMC Quality–3 rating to the scheme manager. The fund is permitted to invest in listed securities, public issues, government bonds, treasury bills, money market instruments, bank deposits, and other sectors as prescribed by the regulator.
