काठमाडौँ — स्थलगत अनुगमनका क्रममा कैफियत भेटिएपछि वाणिज्य, आपूर्ति तथा उपभोक्ता संरक्षण विभागले दुई फर्मलाई जरिवाना गरेको छ।
विभागले किसु चमेनागृहलाई रु. २० हजार जरिवाना गरेको छ। उपभोक्ता संरक्षण ऐन, २०७५ को दफा १५ बमोजिम खरिद बिलबिजक नराखेको पाइएपछि सोही ऐनको दफा ३८ (घ) बमोजिम कारबाही गरिएको विभागले जनाएको छ।
यस्तै, काठमाडौँको जडीबुटीमा रहेको क्याल्मेरा अटाएर प्रालिलाई रु. पाँच हजार जरिवाना गरिएको छ। विभागले कुल १२ फर्ममा अनुगमन गर्दा दुईलाई जरिवाना र बाँकी १० लाई सुधारात्मक निर्देशन दिएको छ।
उद्योग तथा फर्महरूको अनुगमन गर्दा उपभोक्ता संरक्षण ऐन, २०७५ र उपभोक्ता संरक्षण नियमावली, २०७६ बमोजिम आवश्यक निर्देशन एवम् कारबाही गरिएको विभागले स्पष्ट पारेको छ।
बजारमा स्वच्छता कायम राख्न, अखाद्य वस्तुको कारोबार रोक्न र बिलबिजक जारी गराउन विभागले नियमित अनुगमन गर्दै आएको छ।
Kathmandu — The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection has fined two firms after irregularities were found during on-site inspections.
The department has fined Kisu Chamena Griha Rs 20,000. According to the department, the action was taken under Section 38(d) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2075, after the firm was found not maintaining purchase bills and invoices as required under Section 15 of the same Act.
Similarly, Kalmera Attire Pvt Ltd, located in Jadibuti, Kathmandu, has been fined Rs 5,000. Of the 12 firms inspected in total, the department fined two and issued corrective directives to the remaining 10.
The department clarified that necessary directives and actions were taken in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2075, and the Consumer Protection Regulations, 2076, during the inspection of industries and firms.
The department said it has been carrying out regular inspections to maintain fairness in the market, curb the trade of unfit goods, and ensure the issuance of bills and invoices.
