लगानीकर्ताको हित रक्षा गर्न वाग्लेको निर्देशन, नेपाल धितोपत्र बोर्डका नवनियुक्त अध्यक्ष भट्टले लिए शपथWagle Directs Newly Appointed Securities Board Chief to Protect Investor Interests
अर्थमन्त्री डा. स्वर्णिम वाग्लेले नेपाल धितोपत्र बोर्डका नवनियुक्त अध्यक्ष डा. गोपालप्रसाद भट्टलाई लोभ र प्रलोभनबाट टाढा रही लगानीकर्ताको हित रक्षामा काम गर्न निर्देशन दिएका छन्। सोमबार शपथग्रहण कार्यक्रमलगत्तै अर्थमन्त्री वाग्लेले यस्तो निर्देशन दिएका हुन्।
'कुनै पनि लोभ र प्रभावमा नपरी पुँजीबजारका लगानीकर्ताको लगानी सुरक्षित गर्नुहोस्। पुँजी परिचालनमार्फत आर्थिक वृद्धिको वातावरण बनाउनुहोस्,' अर्थमन्त्री वाग्लेले भने। मन्त्रालयबाट कुनै हस्तक्षेप नहुने र हरेक हप्ता बजारको ब्रिफिङ चाहिने उनले स्पष्ट पारे।
अर्थमन्त्रीले पुँजीबजार सुधारका लागि दैनिक, साप्ताहिक, मासिक र वार्षिक योजना तयार गरी पेस गर्न पनि निर्देशन दिए। बजारमा अनावश्यक हल्ला फैलाएर साना लगानीकर्तामाथि त्रास सिर्जना गर्ने प्रवृत्तिलाई निरुत्साहित गर्न पनि उनले आग्रह गरे। 'धेरै बोलेर होइन, नतिजामा काम गर्नुहोस्,' उनले थपे।
नवनियुक्त अध्यक्ष भट्टले सरकारको योजनाअनुसार इमानदारीपूर्वक काम गर्ने प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त गरे। आफ्नो ज्ञान र अनुभवलाई लगानीकर्ताको हित र आर्थिक वृद्धिको लक्ष्य पूरा गर्न प्रयोग गर्ने उनको भनाइ छ।
उल्लेखनीय छ कि असार ५ गते बसेको मन्त्रिपरिषद् बैठकले डा. भट्टलाई नेपाल धितोपत्र बोर्डको अध्यक्षमा नियुक्त गरेको थियो।
Finance Minister Dr. Swarneem Wagle has directed newly appointed Securities Board of Nepal Chairman Dr. Gopal Prasad Bhatt to work free from temptation and outside influence while prioritizing the protection of capital market investors. The directive came immediately after Bhatt was administered the oath of office and secrecy on Monday.
"Do not fall prey to any greed or pressure. Protect the investments of capital market investors and create an environment for economic growth through capital mobilization," Wagle said. He made clear that the ministry would not interfere in the board's functioning but expected a weekly market briefing from the new chairman.
The finance minister also instructed Bhatt to prepare and present structured reform plans covering daily, weekly, monthly and annual targets for capital market improvement. Wagle further urged the new chairman to counter the spread of baseless rumours in the market that create unnecessary fear among small investors. "Do not work by talking too much — work by delivering results," he added.
Responding to the directive, Chairman Bhatt pledged to serve honestly in line with the government's vision. He committed to putting his knowledge, experience and skills fully towards protecting investor interests and supporting the government's economic growth targets. Bhatt also said he would work to implement various studies and recommendations made over the years for capital market reform.
It may be noted that the Council of Ministers meeting held on Ashar 5 had approved the appointment of Dr. Bhatt as chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal.
