नेपाल सरकारले पछिल्लो समयावधिको ट्रेजरी बिलहरूको औसत ब्याजदर सार्वजनिक गरेको छ, जसमा सबै अवधिका बिलहरूको दरमा सानो उतारचढाव देखिएको छ। बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थाहरूको लागि यी दरहरू अत्यन्तै महत्वपूर्ण मानिन्छन्, किनकि यी दरहरूले बजारको तरलता अवस्था र ब्याजदरको भविष्यप्रतिको अपेक्षालाई संकेत गर्छन्।
२८ दिने ट्रेजरी बिलको औसत ब्याजदर २.९३१६% मा झरेको छ, जुन २०८२ जेठ २ (May 6, 2025) मा अद्यावधिक गरिएको हो। अघिल्लो दर २.९७९९% थियो जुन २०८१ बैशाख १० (April 22, 2025) मा कायम थियो। यो सानो घटावटले देखाउँछ कि छोटो अवधिको तरलता अवस्था केही सहज भएको छ वा बजारले निकट भविष्यमा ब्याजदर घट्ने अपेक्षा गरेको छ।
९१ दिने ट्रेजरी बिलको दर पनि थोरै घटेको छ। जेठ ३० (May 13, 2025) मा अद्यावधिक गरिएको यो दर २.९४५५% रहेको छ, जुन अघिल्लो बैशाख १६ (April 29, 2025) मा २.९५०८% थियो। यो झिनो घटावटले संकेत गर्छ कि बजारमा छोटो अवधिको धारणा लगभग स्थिर छ।
१८२ दिने ट्रेजरी बिलमा भने सानो वृद्धि देखिएको छ। May 13 मा यो दर २.९७४८% पुगेको छ, जुन May 6 मा २.९७०७% थियो। यो सानो वृद्धिले देखाउँछ कि केही लगानीकर्ताहरूले मध्यम अवधिको लागि उच्च प्रतिफलको माग गरेका छन्।
त्यस्तै, ३६४ दिने ट्रेजरी बिलमा पनि सानो वृद्धि देखिएको छ। May 13, 2025 मा दर २.९९९८% मा पुगेको छ, जुन May 6 मा २.९९९७% थियो। यो झिनो उतारचढाव भए पनि एक वर्षको अवधिमा बजारको स्थिरताको अपेक्षा स्पष्ट देखिन्छ।
समग्रमा हेर्दा, ट्रेजरी बिलहरूको औसत ब्याजदर स्थिर देखिएको छ, जुन नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकको मौद्रिक नीतिसँग मेल खान्छ। यसले सरकारको ऋण व्यवस्थापन रणनीति र बैंकिङ प्रणालीको तरलता अवस्था सन्तुलित रहेको स्पष्ट संकेत दिन्छ।
The Government of Nepal has released the latest weighted average rates for Treasury Bills (T-Bills) as of mid-May 2025, indicating a relatively stable short-term borrowing cost environment with minor fluctuations across various maturities. In contrast, the 182-day T-Bills experienced a slight uptick. The rate rose to 2.9748% on May 13, up from 2.9707% just a week earlier on May 6, 2025. This modest increase suggests some tightening in the medium-term liquidity or a shift in investor demand for slightly longer maturities.
Similarly, the 364-day T-Bills rate edged up marginally to 2.9998% on May 13, 2025, from 2.9997% on May 6, 2025. Though the movement is negligible, it signals that yields on longer-term government borrowing remain close to the psychological 3% mark, implying that the market still perceives relative stability over a one-year horizon.
Overall, the weighted average rates across all tenures point to a stable yet cautious treasury bill market in Nepal. The fluctuations are narrow, reflecting a balance between the government's borrowing needs and the prevailing liquidity conditions in the banking sector. These trends are also indicative of the Nepal Rastra Bank's continued efforts to manage short-term interest rates without introducing sudden shocks to the system.
