Global IME Balanced Fund-1 Declares 12% Cash Dividend for FY 2081/82

Kathmandu, Sept 1, 2025 – Global IME Balanced Fund-1 (GIBF1), a close-ended mutual fund managed by Global IME Capital Limited, has announced a 12 percent cash dividend for its unitholders for the fiscal year 2081/82. The decision was approved during the fund manager’s 194th board meeting held on Bhadra 9, 2082.

The dividend amounts to around NPR 12.31 crore, which will be distributed after applicable taxes. This marks a sharp improvement compared to the 5 percent dividend declared in FY 2080/81, reflecting stronger portfolio performance this year.

Market and Technical Overview

On the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), GIBF1 is currently trading near Rs. 11.20, with a 52-week range between Rs. 8.84 and Rs. 11.68. The fund has shown stability in recent sessions, with support levels identified at Rs. 11.02 and resistance around Rs. 11.34. Moving averages suggest a moderately bullish trend, with the 5-day and 180-day averages signaling positive momentum.

Fundamental Snapshot

As a mutual fund, GIBF1 does not report earnings per share (EPS) or book value like corporate stocks. Instead, its performance is measured through yield and asset value. The fund has a paid-up capital of Rs. 102.58 crore and a market capitalization of nearly Rs. 115 crore. Recent data shows a one-year yield in the range of 8.7% to 12.1%, making it competitive among similar schemes.

Valuation and Outlook

At the current market price of Rs. 11.20, the proposed dividend translates into a yield of around 12 percent, making the fund attractive for income-seeking investors. The significant jump in dividend distribution compared to the previous year signals improved fund management and portfolio performance.

Analysts note that, as a balanced fund, GIBF1 benefits from diversification across equities and fixed-income assets, offering both growth and stability. However, as a close-ended mutual fund, liquidity on the secondary market and broader market movements remain key risk factors.
