Wagle added that an e-mobility service will soon be launched in the Pokhara Valley as well, to replace public buses with electric ones.

Kathmandu — The government will start implementing the long-term "Vision Kathmandu, 2040" plan, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle announced through the budget.
Wagle said integrated infrastructure will be built for the overall management of urban services in the Kathmandu Valley, including underpasses, flyovers, intersection improvements, river corridor infrastructure, park construction, waste management, utility ducts, and the undergrounding of electrical wires.
In collaboration with provincial and local governments, the Finance Minister said, a special initiative will be taken — along with financial incentives — to protect and expand open spaces.
He said a smart urban mobility programme will be launched in the Kathmandu Valley, featuring electric public buses, charging stations, a tracking system, smart bus parks, and a strengthened institutional framework.
Wagle added that an e-mobility service will soon be launched in the Pokhara Valley as well, to replace public buses with electric ones.
