The Finance Minister said a total of Rs 7.34 billion has been allocated for the culture and tourism sector and Rs 2.93 billion for the civil aviation sector.

Kathmandu — Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has announced various plans and allocations for the civil aviation sector through the budget.
Wagle said Rs 1.53 billion has been allocated for the upgrading of Tribhuvan International Airport. He said the construction modality of Nijgadh International Airport will be finalised within six months.
The Finance Minister said the government will collaborate with the private sector in the operation and management of the Gautam Buddha and Pokhara regional international airports.
He said Bharatpur Airport will be expanded to operate night flights. In collaboration with the provincial government, Surkhet Airport will be expanded, while the Talcha Airport in Mugu and the Tarigaun Airport in Dang will be upgraded.
