To effectively manage the rising non-performing loans and non-banking assets in the banking sector, the Finance Minister said a National Asset Management Company — with special legal authority — will be established by the end of Poush.

Kathmandu — The government will operate "peer-to-peer (P2P) lending" with regulation, while introducing a personal credit scoring system, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle announced through the budget.
Wagle said policy arrangements will be made to channel credit to the agriculture, industry, tourism, and hydropower sectors at long-term, stable interest rates.
